For those of you that read my previous post about my mom, here’s just a quick update on how she is doing and what the doctor said. Before we get there, I would just like to thank everyone for their support and prayers, it has meant a lot to me but more so, to my mom.
My step dad and I went to visit my mom this evening. On arrival, my mom was all smiles, probably from watching Junior Masterchef on the television above her bed. She has so much strength compared to this morning. She had even done her hair and applied some makeup.
She no longer had her oxygen tubes on and much to her dismay, she no longer had her fun item of self applicator pain medication supplier thingy. (I honestly don’t know what to call it.) She was quite talkative and could hobble along to the bathroom, with help of course.
My mother sent me to tell her Gynecologist something and I secretly asked her how the operation went and the doctor said it went well. They removed everything except the ovaries, so no hormone treatment for mumsy. I also asked about the things I should assist with once they discharge my mom and I was told to just make sure she does not lie down the whole time, since my mom is on blood thinners, Warfarin, and blood clots could form and circulation and healing would not happen quickly and as normally as possible.
This will be easy, since I am home-schooled.
But overall, the doctor said that her findings were positive – referring to my mom’s uterus. It looked a lot better than she thought it would have looked. The lumps have been sent away for testing and we will be told what the results are tomorrow.
I shall keep you all in the loop. Once again, thank you for your prayers and well wishes. They really do mean so much to my mom and I, along with the rest of my family.
Love and hugs
